Who had the perfect pitch?

Perfect Pitch event, 2019 M Marketing Meeting.

The debut of M’s Perfect Pitch competition at the 2019 M Marketing Meeting gave 12 brave participants an opportunity to share their best tactics and strategies for starting conversations and closing deals. The event was hosted by MFH Board Member Carl Peterson, whose humor and savvy made the whole thing a lot of fun.

Monday’s opening round featured an array of interesting and entertaining pitches that generated word-of-mouth buzz, so Tuesday’s finalists – including three Magnet Advisors – got to make their final pitches from the main stage to an enthusiastic and at times raucous M Community.

Some finalists enlisted the audio-visual team to boost their production, others stepped up and let their ideas speak for themselves, and there was even an impromptu addition of M legend Dave Downey, who took the stage to share his own pitch.

When the audience’s app voting was tabulated, Todd Skousen of Links Consulting emerged as the winner of the $1,000 Four Seasons Resort gift card for his Three Seeds pitch. PDC Chair David Richter presented Todd with his trophy at Tuesday night’s dinner celebration.
