M Financial Group Introduces Ken Ehinger as New President & CEO of M Holdings Securities, Inc.
PORTLAND, OR, NOVEMBER 18, 2008—M Financial Group has named Ken Ehinger as the new President and CEO of M Holdings Securities, Inc. (“M Securities”). In this role, Ken will oversee all aspects of M Financial’s Broker/Dealer, including the ongoing advancement of the M Securities vision, strategic planning and implementation, and the continued development of resources and services designed to support Member Firm business. Ken, who began his new role on September 29, will be
part of M Financial’s Executive Leadership Team and will work closely with the M Holdings Securities Advisory Committee. M Securities, a wholly owned subsidiary of M Financial Group, is exclusive to the Member Firms of M Financial.
Ken has a diverse background in the securities and insurance industries that spans more than three decades. He is the founder of KRE Strategic Counselors, which provides strategic development and growth strategies for financial services companies, associations, and wealth management practices. Prior to founding KRE, Ken spent nine years in a variety of executive positions with National Life Group (“NL Group”) in Montpelier, Vermont, including Senior Vice President of NL Financial
Alliance, Chairman and CEO of Equity Services, Inc. (NL Group's broker/dealer and RIA), Chair of American Guaranty and Trust Company (NL Group’s trust company), and President and CEO of Sentinel Management Companies (NL Group’s mutual fund investment company). From 1990-1999, Ken was the Chief Operating Officer for Lincoln Financial Advisors. Ken has also held positions at Merrill Lynch and American Warranty Corporation, and has served as an adjunct professor at Saint Francis University and Indiana Northern College.
Ken received his BA in management from Tri State University and his Master’s in finance from Indiana University. Ken’s professional affiliations include LIMRA, GAMA, and LOMA, for which he has served on a number of leadership committees.
