Fred H. Jonske, President & Chief Executive Officer
Fred H. Jonske joined M Financial Group in 1996 with 25 years of experience in the life insurance industry. His particular strengths are actuarial, management, and market positioning. He was previously President, Chief Operating Officer, and board member of Lincoln Benefit Life Insurance Company of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Surety Life Insurance Company of Salt Lake City, Utah. Both companies are subsidiaries of Allstate Insurance Company. Fred was also Vice President and a board member of Allstate Life Insurance Company, as well as a board member of Lincoln Benefit Financial Services.
Fred developed and implemented Lincoln Benefit Life’s brokerage distribution strategy with a network of more than 100 marketing organizations. Under his management, the company established a strong market position in universal life, term, fixed annuities, and variable life and annuities. He began his career with Allstate Life Insurance Company in 1971 and, prior to his election as President of Lincoln Benefit Life in 1982, held various actuarial positions in the individual and corporate areas.
He led M Financial’s reorganization from a partnership to a member-owned holding company and has focused on setting a new strategic direction for the company.
Fred holds both a BA and a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Michigan. He is a member of The American College Board of Trustees, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and AALU.
